"We will always be grateful for her time at GBS, and know that she would not be doing as well as she is now, without the solid foundation GBS afforded her."

The Gillen Brewer School offers an early childhood and elementary program that is designed to meet the diverse needs of children with non-verbal and language-based learning disabilities. Working closely with their families, our goal is to help our students overcome challenges and build a strong foundation for lifelong learning and independence. Our early childhood program serves children 2.8-5 years old and our elementary program serves children aged 5-10. Both provide an intensive 12-month school program with very high teacher to student ratios, and include a full academic curriculum, speech/language and occupational therapy, play therapy/counseling, physical education, music and art. Our Family Program includes parents as partners, resources, and advocates. Families become a part of our community of learners by working alongside staff, individually and in groups, on issues relevant to each family’s needs.
