Art

Regardless of background or ability, art serves as the common thread that unites us all through personal experience and exploration. The Art Room is a place where students can explore their creativity, communicate non-verbally, and enjoy working with a curriculum that discovers a variety of materials, themes, and ideas. All classes will explore drawing, painting, sculpture, printmaking, and collage throughout the year.

Classes at Gillen Brewer School take advantage of all the amazing arts resources available in New York City! We have partnerships with the Museum of Modern Art, The Whitney Museum of American Art, and the Metropolitan Museum of Art as well as with artists who visit the Art classroom throughout the year.
