We invite you to join us for a free Turning 5 virtual workshop presented by special education advisor Sarah Birnbaum, of New York Special Needs Support, and hosted by The Family Program at The Gillen Brewer School. RSVP link and additional information below.
This is a great opportunity to get a head start on your child's transition from CPSE (Committee on Preschool Special Education) to CSE (Committee on Special Education). You will learn more about your educational options and legal rights, hear tips on advocating at your Turning 5 meeting, and get information on how the COVID-19 health emergency may impact your child's transition from Preschool into School-Age services.
Joining Sarah on this workshop will be neuropsychologists from Pediatric Assessment, Learning & Support (PALS). They will offer guidance on neuropsychological evaluations, their purpose in the Turning 5 process, and the ways the current situation is affecting the testing process.
