Our vibrant middle school program serves students in grades 6-8 and provides a rich and supportive learning environment for students with a broad range of language-based learning disabilities. We believe in fostering academic excellence, social-emotional growth, and independent living skills – all within the dynamic context of New York City.
Academics and Therapies
Interdisciplinary Themes: Each year, a captivating theme becomes the foundation for our curriculum. This fosters deeper learning as students explore core subjects like literacy, math, science, social studies, art and music through a unified lens.
Academic-Therapeutic Approach: We seamlessly combine our academic curriculum with integrated therapeutic interventions. This ensures that each student receives the individualized support they need to thrive.
NYC as Your Classroom:
Learning in the City: New York City becomes our middle school’s extended classroom. We leverage the city’s museums, historical sites, and cultural institutions to provide real-world experiences that enhance learning and build essential life skills.
Independent Living Skills Development: We empower students with the confidence and tools they need to navigate the city independently. From mastering public transportation to safety; from budgeting and decision-making, our program prepares them for future success.
This unique blend of academics, therapy, and real-world exploration fosters a love of learning, independence, and a strong sense of self in our middle school students.
