Welcome to our Professional Learning Community — a collaborative space dedicated to shared growth, innovative teaching strategies, and student success.
A three-part expert series designed to help educators better understand the developmental, sensory, emotional, and language needs of young children and provide practical supports that help students access learning and thrive in the classroom.

Our Occupational Therapy Department will help educators recognize how sensory processing may impact attention, regulation, participation, and learning. The session will focus on practical, developmentally appropriate sensory strategies that can be naturally embedded into the classroom, including movement, environmental modifications, sensory tools, and routines that support regulation and readiness to learn.

Our Counseling Department will explore age-appropriate behavior, emotional responses, and self-regulation in young children, as well as how to recognize when behaviors may fall outside the expected developmental range. Educators will learn strategies for building co-regulation, responding to challenging behavior, and identifying when additional observation, consultation, or referral may be warranted.

Discover how adults can create a positive communication environment and turn everyday interactions and play into meaningful opportunities for language development and learning. Our Speech-Language Pathology department will share practical, language-based strategies to support communication, explore key developmental milestones, and help participants recognize when a child may benefit from a speech and language evaluation.
